Thomas De Quincey's Confessions of an English Opium-Eater
Born and raised in Ithaca, New York, L.L. Erdman received degrees at Bryn Mawr College and Cornell University. She lives near Washington, DC, where she exhibits her artwork regularly at local galleries. She has taught literature and theater at private and public schools and has lived, worked and traveled extensively.
The novel The Conversation Class: An American in Revolutionary Russia culminates years of research in Russian literature and history. First conceived as a graphic novel, The Conversation Class includes over 30 original print illustrations, reflecting Erdman’s explorations as an artist and printmaker. Other projects include a series of prints illustrating Thomas de Quincey’s Confessions of an English Opium-Eater and two books The Animal Alphabet and The Alphabet of Bad Behavior.
